I don’t know if other households did this but in our family school pictures were a big deal. Does anybody remember making sure school picture day were far enough in advance so that they could be in Christmas Cards? In our family Grandpa got a carton of cigarettes (at a price that wouldn’t even buy a pack these days). Grandma, Aunts and Uncles got Christmas cards with school pictures in them. The boys wore Cub Scout uniforms.
I was dressed in my best. But even back then I was a LITTLE bit pig headed. Ok brothers and various family members can stop laughing here.
One year someone had made a comment about my tooth. Can you imagine the explosion that happened when I brought this picture home for Christmas Cards? No matter what Mom said to the school they wouldn’t do a retake. Even if they had it wouldn’t have been in time. At least the boys looked good!!
